OUR STORY

Reparations for the physical and economical genocide of black people during American slavery has been one of the most discussed and relevant topics in the black community for many years. As of late there have been online grassroot movements in support of reparations that have swept social media by storm, bringing the topic to mainstream attention. 

 

Inspired by recent movements and those that have come before us who fought and continue to fight for reparations, we knew it was our obligation to join in the battle. As experienced filmmakers, we felt that we could use our talents to help push this movement forward. Reparations was written by Darius Frye (Co-Director, Writer, Producer), we subsequently enlisted the amazing talents of Czharcus M. Jones (Co-Director) and John F. Thomas (Producer) to assist with bringing this riveting tale to life.
